Description:Today is the first anniversary of having our dog Nina with us, her forever family. At the end of February last year, we went camping in a little lake town south of here called Tandil. Even the first night we were there, when we stayed at a hotel since we were getting into town so late, we were escorted by a big old dog from an ice cream shop back to our room. I thought it was a fluke until the next day we had the same thing happen with a group of 3 dogs when we hiked from town to our lakeside campsite. These nice pooches were only a small introduction, though…everywhere I looked, there were dogs, dogs, and more dogs! The people of Tandil would call the strays a plague and often would throw rocks or try to hit them with brooms.
